Hello!

My name’s Kath O’Rourke and I’m a passionate and experienced HR professional with over 12 years of experience in human resources. In 2024, I set up TideHR, a consultancy dedicated to helping businesses create vibrant, people-focused workplaces through effective, strategic HR solutions. I specialise in building the organisational structures, processes, and culture needed to guide teams through rapid growth or challenges, and optimise workforce performance.

 

I've worked across the private, public, and third sectors, blending hands-on operational skills with big-picture HR strategy. My expertise includes enhancing performance culture, overseeing learning and development, driving workforce growth, managing organisational development, wellbeing, compensation, benefits, and performance management. Through my consultancy, I collaborate with organisations to design and implement impactful people strategies that boost retention and improve business performance.

 

As a trusted advisor, I partner with leaders to navigate complex people challenges and build HR frameworks that are aligned with their organisational goals. My pragmatic, common-sense approach ensures businesses get the best out of their people while staying focused on results. Whether I'm helping to embed best practices, shape company culture, or guide businesses through change, I can implement effective ways to help organisations keep their top talent for longer and create a healthier workplace.​
